Legal Recruiting & Professional Development Coordinator
A well-established California law firm is seeking a Legal Recruiting & Professional Development Coordinator to join its Recruitment & Professional Development team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with legal recruiting experience who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. The Coordinator will play a key role in attracting top legal talent while supporting attorney development initiatives across the firm.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Recruiting:

Partner with the Director to execute recruiting strategies and maintain candidate records

Coordinate and schedule interviews for attorney candidates

Manage due diligence processes, including conflict checks

Assist with background and reference checks upon offer acceptance

Support onboarding and integration of new hires

Maintain recruiting databases, tracking documents, and reporting metrics

Assist with firmwide recruiting projects and initiatives
Professional Development:

Support development of attorney training, mentoring, and development programs

Assist with Inclusion & Equity initiatives, communications, and events

Coordinate meetings, trainings, and professional development programming

Provide administrative and project support for firmwide development initiatives
Administrative / Additional Support:

Maintain candidate profiles and recruiting files
-
Collect and distribute interview feedback

Generate reports on recruiting efforts

Provide cross-functional administrative support to HR, Operations, and Marketing as needed
QUALIFICATIONS:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred

3+ years of experience in legal recruitment

Strong understanding of the California legal market

Experience with applicant tracking systems (e.g., Dayforce, LawCruit)

Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

Strong organizational and multitasking abilities

Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

Self-starter with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database systems

Strong interpersonal skills with a professional, client-facing presence
