In many organizations, quality is a "compliance checkbox." Here, it is the backbone of our reputation. As a small, veteran-owned aerospace and defense manufacturer with 20% annual growth, we produce mission-critical systems where there is zero margin for error.

If you are a quality professional currently siloed in a narrow role at a large corporation, this is your chance to step into a broader arena. You won't just be checking parts; you will be "owning" the quality function—from refining inspection protocols to developing the very processes that ensure our products perform in the most demanding military environments. Our culture is lean, direct, and non-bureaucratic. We value sound judgment and independent execution over rigid credentials, offering you a stable, mission-oriented home where your impact is felt daily.

What you will be doing

  • Critical Inspection: Lead quality inspections and in-process sampling to ensure absolute product and process compliance
  • Process Development: Design and document practical testing and inspection workflows that bridge the gap between engineering and production
  • Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify quality gaps and lead corrective action initiatives to full resolution
  • Standards Stewardship: Maintain and update quality policies to ensure we remain at the forefront of industry standards
  • Audit Readiness: Support the maintenance of our AS9100D / ISO 9001 systems, including documentation and internal audits
  • Safety & Regulatory: Ensure all operations meet the highest health, safety, and aerospace regulatory requirements
  • Strategic Partnership: Collaborate directly with Operations and Engineering leadership to ensure program success and superior quality outcomes

What we are looking for

  • Proven Quality Background: 4+ years of hands-on quality experience in a manufacturing or engineering-heavy environment
  • Technical Toolkit: Proficiency in standard quality tools—including inspection, auditing, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
  • Operational Independence: Ability to develop and implement testing processes from scratch without needing a roadmap
  • Documentation Skills: Strong technical writing ability for reports, procedures, and quality documentation
  • Detail Mastery: An organized mindset capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced setting
  • Education: A Bachelor’s degree in a technical field is preferred, though we will consider candidates with equivalent high-level direct experience

Strong pluses (not required)

  • Specific experience with AS9100D or ISO 9001 in an aerospace/defense context
  • Familiarity with MIL-SPEC manufacturing standards
  • Certified Internal Auditor or other industry-recognized quality credentials
  • Experience wearing multiple hats (Quality + Engineering Support) in a small-business environment
