Environmental Engineer – Water / Wastewater Project Manager

Small, well-regarded professional engineering firm with big clients that include major municipalities and utility companies in New York and Pennsylvania with critical and rewarding projects. Projects include oversight for the design through construction of pipelines, pump stations, storage tanks and treatment facilities.

Your Role as Environmental Engineer - Water / Wastewater:

  • Lead a team of Civil Engineers rehabilitating, replacing, and/or expanding water system facilities
  • Manage the client relationship, contracts, and projects
  • Maintain active involvement in local associations and trade groups, and explore business development opportunities
  • Coordinate and review the permit process at the local, county, state and federal level
  • Mentor and direct junior engineers
  • Be involved with project site evaluations, preparing engineering scope documents and writing technical equipment specifications as needed
  • Use WaterCAD, EPAnet, and HydroCAD, for analysis and design

Background Profile for Civil - Environmental Engineer - Water / Wastewater :

  • 10 years’ experience in municipal water projects in a consulting or utility company capacity
  • Current New York State PE License, or ability to get one within 6 months
  • Strong analytical skills, oral and written communication skills, and proven technical abilities
  • Project management and strong time management and multi-tasking abilities
  • Computer proficiency with WaterCAD, EPAnet, and/or HydroCAD
