Service Engineer - Conveyors
We are seeking a Service Engineer to support installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of material handling and automation systems. This is a hands-on, field-based role working with conveyors and industrial equipment in manufacturing environments. This is a direct hire opportunity in the Columbus, OH area.
Key Responsibilities

Install, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical, mechanical, and automated systems

Diagnose equipment issues and perform repairs, upgrades, and preventive maintenance

Support commissioning, testing, and startup of new or modified systems

Interpret engineering drawings and assist with on-site installation activities

Work with conveyors (Power & Free, skid, friction, transfers, etc.) and related automation equipment

Interface with customers, subcontractors, and project teams to resolve issues and support project execution

Assist with small project estimating, quoting, and coordination
Qualifications

Experience with PLC troubleshooting/programming in a field environment preferred

Hands-on experience with industrial equipment, conveyors, or automation systems

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Experience with AutoCAD, Inventor, or similar CAD tools is a plus

Proficient with Microsoft Office
Education & Experience
-
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Automation Engineering

1–3 years of experience in manufacturing, construction, or material handling environments
Additional Requirements

Willingness to travel 30-50% (U.S., Canada, and Mexico)

Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed

Physically able to work in industrial environments (climbing, lifting 25–50 lbs., extended standing/walking)
