We are seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to join our team as a Sr. Project Engineer in Novi, MI. This role offers a direct hire opportunity with the flexibility of a hybrid work schedule.

Role Overview:

The Sr. Project Engineer will lead a team of engineers and designers, driving comprehensive engineering projects to successful completion. Projects may involve robotic cells, conveyor systems, custom material handling equipment, or structural steel installations. This position requires a strategic thinker and effective communicator who can ensure project objectives are met with high-quality outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide engineering leadership to a multidisciplinary team, guiding engineers, designers, and detailers throughout project phases.
• Maintain accurate project schedules and manage open issues efficiently.
• Develop and update project drawings as necessary.
• Oversee the creation and release of purchased parts, materials equipment lists, approved work orders, and drawings to shop and field teams.
• Participate in customer bid meetings and contract discussions, and deliver on-site field engineering support.
• Ensure quality project results by clearly communicating expectations, planning engineering tasks, and evaluating outcomes.
• Provide exemplary leadership and mentorship, fostering a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
• 15+ years of experience in engineering and design of conveyors, material handling, industrial equipment, or structural steel.
• Proficiency in applying engineering principles to analyze and evaluate mechanical or structural systems.
• Strong knowledge of automotive conveyors, material handling systems, production systems, and structural steel components.
• Competence in using CAD software such as AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, Tekla Structures, Risa, etc.
• Excellent computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
