Senior Health & Safety Specialist / Program Lead
Location: Fort Wayne, Indiana area 

A growing manufacturing company launching operations in the Fort Wayne, IN area is seeking a Senior Health & Safety Specialist / Safety Program Lead to build and lead the site’s health and safety program.

This role will be responsible for developing the safety framework for a new manufacturing operation, including policies, procedures, training programs, and compliance systems that support a safe and productive workplace. The position will work closely with plant leadership, engineering, and production teams to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the site health and safety programs

• Lead risk assessments, safety audits, and incident investigations

• Ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulations

• Develop and deliver safety training programs

• Support safe equipment installation and manufacturing processes

• Promote a strong safety culture across the facility

• Establish site programs including:
   
  - Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)
   
  - Machine guarding
   
  - Hazard communication
   
  - Confined space
   
  - Fall protection
   
  - Ergonomics
   
  - Contractor safety

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Health & Safety experience in manufacturing

• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety programs

• Experience conducting risk assessments and safety training

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or related field preferred.

• CSP, ASP, or OSHA certifications are a plus
