About the Role

Our client is a well-established company with a broad portfolio of operating companies. They're adding a Collections Specialist to support day-to-day accounts receivable operations, monitoring aging reports, following up on outstanding balances, and keeping communication with customers professional and consistent. What You'll Do

• Monitor AR aging reports and identify overdue accounts requiring follow-up
• Contact customers by phone and email to collect outstanding balances or set up payment arrangements
• Maintain accurate records of all collection activity, communications, and payment status
• Investigate basic billing or payment discrepancies and escalate complex issues to senior staff
• Process payments and assist with refunds per company procedures
• Send customer statements as part of routine follow-up
• Update account notes, collection status, and aging data in the AR system
• Collaborate with Billing, Sales, AR, and Customer Service to resolve invoice questions and payment delays

What You Bring

• High school diploma required; associate's degree or coursework in accounting, finance, or business preferred
• Basic understanding of accounts receivable and collections processes
• Strong verbal and written communication skills — comfortable navigating payment conversations professionally
• High attention to detail and accurate documentation habits
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; ability to learn AR or ERP systems quickly
• Ability to manage a high volume of accounts and meet follow-up deadlines
