Industrial Painter

Location: Bardstown, KY

Position Summary

The Industrial Painter is responsible for preparing, priming, and painting structural steel components and secure modular buildings to meet company quality standards. This position requires attention to detail, proper surface preparation, and the ability to safely operate industrial spray equipment while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Schedule

Weekend Shift – NOW HIRING

• Friday – Sunday
• 5:30 AM – 6:00 PM

Compensation

• Pay is based on experience.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Prepare steel surfaces by cleaning, sanding, grinding, and masking prior to painting.
• Apply primers, industrial coatings, and finish coats using airless and conventional spray equipment.
• Mix paints and coatings according to manufacturer specifications.
• Inspect surfaces before and after painting to ensure quality standards are met.
• Touch up painted surfaces as needed.
• Maintain proper paint thickness and finish quality.
• Operate spray guns and related painting equipment safely.
• Clean and maintain paint equipment, spray booths, and work areas.
• Follow all OSHA, environmental, and company safety procedures.
• Work closely with fabrication and production teams to meet production schedules.
• Assist with material handling and other production duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous industrial, automotive, or manufacturing painting experience preferred.
• Experience using industrial spray equipment.
• Ability to follow work instructions and maintain quality standards.
• Basic mechanical aptitude.
• Forklift or overhead crane experience is a plus.

Physical Requirements

• Frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
• Stand, bend, reach, and climb throughout the shift.
• Work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to paint fumes, dust, noise, and varying temperatures.
• Wear required PPE including respirators, paint suits, gloves, eye protection, and steel-toed boots.
