About the Role
Our client is a growing engineering startup with significant hiring growth planned for 2026. This Recruiter role is hands-on and execution-focused, responsible for owning the full-cycle recruiting process while working closely with experienced HR leadership for guidance and strategic direction.
This position is ideal for a recruiter who enjoys partnering directly with leaders, managing candidate pipelines, and delivering a strong candidate experience—without being solely responsible for building HR strategy from scratch.
Key Responsibilities

Partner directly with hiring leaders to understand role requirements, priorities, and hiring timelines

Manage full-cycle recruiting efforts from job posting through offer acceptance

Source candidates through online platforms, professional networks, and external recruiting partners

Screen candidates and coordinate interviews, assessments, and in-person meetings

Maintain and manage the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), including reporting and data accuracy

Draft offer letters in coordination with HR leadership and hiring managers

Coordinate pre-employment background checks and drug screenings

Support onboarding for full-time hires to ensure a positive early employee experience

Coordinate onboarding activities and end-of-term presentations for the co-op program

Create, update, and maintain job descriptions across the organization

Attend and support university job fairs and recruiting events

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and best practices

Identify opportunities to improve recruiting efficiency, communication, and candidate experience

Perform additional duties as needed to support business growth
Work Environment

Minimal travel required (approximately 10%) for university recruiting and corporate events

Work Schedule

In-office role when not traveling for job fairs or events

Standard hours: Monday–Friday, 7:00am–4:00pm or 8:00am–5:00pm

Qualifications & Requirements
Required:
-
Bachelor’s degree
-
3–5 years of recruiting or talent acquisition experience

Experience partnering directly with hiring managers and business leaders

Experience coordinating with external staffing agencies

Proficiency using ATS and HRIS systems

Strong communication, organization, and time management skills

Solid understanding of employment laws and recruiting best practices

Proficiency with Microsoft Office or similar tools

Ability to act with professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality

Legally authorized to work in the United States
Preferred:

Experience recruiting for engineering or technical roles
-
Background in a startup or high-growth environment

Familiarity with Predictive Index (PI) or similar assessment tools

Experience using Paylocity HRIS
