Location: Sacramento, CA (Remote with Travel Throughout Assigned Territory)
Compensation: Competitive Base Salary + Bonus Incentive Program + Comprehensive Benefits Package

About the Role

Our client is seeking a Senior Solutions Sales Consultant to serve as a strategic sales overlay supporting the sales organization in driving growth across its Professional Services portfolio. This individual will partner closely with sales teams and customers to identify opportunities, provide consultative pre-sales support, develop customized solutions, and help achieve revenue objectives.

This is a highly visible role that combines business development, solution selling, customer consulting, and strategic account support. The ideal candidate will have experience selling professional services, technology solutions, managed services, or enterprise-level business solutions and be comfortable engaging with executive-level decision-makers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with sales teams to develop and execute territory and account strategies that drive Professional Services revenue growth.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for the Professional Services portfolio and support sales representatives throughout the sales cycle.
  • Conduct discovery meetings to understand customer business challenges, operational needs, and strategic objectives.
  • Deliver consultative pre-sales support, presentations, demonstrations, and solution recommendations.
  • Develop customized service offerings and proposals that align with customer goals and business requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure proposed solutions are technically and operationally feasible.
  • Build strong relationships with customers, prospects, and executive leadership teams.
  • Support contract negotiations, pricing discussions, and proposal development activities.
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts, pipeline activity, and opportunity updates within CRM systems.
  • Assist with marketing initiatives, industry events, trade shows, and customer-facing presentations.
  • Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and emerging technologies to identify new business opportunities.
  • Work cross-functionally with operations, implementation, and service delivery teams to ensure successful project execution and customer satisfaction.
  • Help drive strategic initiatives designed to expand market share and increase professional services adoption.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in consultative sales, professional services sales, solution selling, or business development.
  • Experience supporting enterprise-level sales organizations and complex sales cycles.
  • Proven ability to engage executive stakeholders and build trusted advisor relationships.
  • Strong presentation, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Experience developing customer-focused solutions and value-based proposals.
  • Ability to translate business challenges into customized service offerings.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and sales pipeline management.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Ability to travel extensively throughout assigned territory.
  • Experience selling technology services, managed services, professional services, digital transformation solutions, or enterprise business solutions is highly preferred.
