Kismet client, Synergy Comp, is looking for multiple Claims Associates to join their team! Synergy Comp is an AM Best "A Rated" monoline Workers' Compensation carrier founded in 2006 and specializes in providing highly effective workers’ compensation and workplace safety solutions that seamlessly combines innovative claims resolution, risk management, and loss prevention strategies, with a total commitment to creating a culture within the workplace that embraces safety as a core operating principle.

Job Duties
The Claims Associate will investigate, analyze, and determine the extent of the company's exposure and compensability concerning Workers’ Compensation claims. The Claims Associate will actively manage a book of business and ensure the results are in line with the company metrics and compliance with reporting in jurisdictions of claims handling.
 
  • Complete required actions on files in the Synergy Claims Handling process and requests from management to drive metrics as outlined on the dashboard to meet the company targeted objectives.
  • Execute on file recommendations and compliance with Synergy handling expectations.
  • Conduct thorough claims investigations with the client, injured worker and through the use of investigative tools to determine compensability.
  • Execute fully the Code Red Process in partnering with medical providers and clients to ensure 100% compliance with TRTW.
  • Drive and understand medical recommendations and best course of action to push the claim towards resolution.
  • Drive discussions, activities, and files with handling counsel to meet optimal outcomes in litigation.
  • Address activities on files outlined through diaries or requests from management within 24 hours of receipt.
  • Practice excellent customer service with clients, injured workers, medical providers, and vendors to build rapport and relationships.
  • Submit all required reporting on files being handled in compliance with jurisdictional requirements.
  • Ensure all data is updated real time and accurately to ensure accuracy in reporting.
 
Skills/Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university required.
  • 0-5 years of Workers’ Compensation insurance experience in claims management.
  • Insurance designation preferred, but not required
  • Ability and willingness to travel to client sites; ability to work varied hours / days, including nights and weekends as needed.
  • Ability to interpret information from multiple sources and draw logical conclusions.
  • Ability to think strategically and use data findings to consult others for improved business results.
  • Highly organized with ability to handle multiple tasks and to meet deadlines.
  • Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
  • Minimum of three days working onsite in Sharon, PA.
