Seeking  Construction Inspectors play an essential role in constructing transportation projects. They assist Clients, Engineers, and Project Managers with inspection, surveying, materials testing, and other related tasks on a variety of transportation projects.

 

What you will be doing:

Perform field Inspection on various construction sites,

Ensure compliance with plans and specifications,

Daily Documentation which includes diaries, quantity calculations, spreadsheets and other forms of record keeping,

Prepare pay vouchers, change orders and overall contract administration documentation.

Perform labor compliance field reviews and verify compliance to project-specific prevailing wage requirements.

Periodically perform materials sampling and testing,

You may also be asked to perform various surveying tasks, write proposals, meeting minutes, and other various technical duties.

Effectively communicate with clients, property owners, and contractors.

 

Preferred Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:

5+ Years of construction inspection or material testing or related experience.

A work hard, play hard, innovative attitude that enjoys being challenged.

A desire to grow with the company.

Knowledge of Microsoft software (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).

Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.

Good communication, organizational and technical skills.

A willingness to collaborate in a team environment.

MnDOT Technical Certifications in bituminous, concrete, grading & base, and other areas.

 

Base compensation is expected to be between $35 and $45 per hour, depending on skill set, certifications, and years of experience. We offer a competitive, full benefits package.
