Project Engineer / Project Manager (Food Process Equipment)

Job Description:

The role of the Project Manager/Engineer is to plan, execute and finalize projects according to Customer specifications, deadlines and within budget. This may include acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure system design complies with customer specifications, general process
  descriptions, and company standards
• Size and/or specify system components for procurement
• Develop full-scale project plans (including resources) along with project
  milestones and deliverables
• Draft and submit purchasing requisitions for items needed on the project
• Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel
• Review all drawings to assure accuracy prior to passing onto the customer
• Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path
• Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises and
  devise contingency plans
• Responsible for System installation and commissioning and any necessary
  documentation to complete this task
• Conduct project post mortems and create a recommendations report in order to
  identify successful and unsuccessful project elements

Position Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical or Food Science Engineering
• 5 years experience in an Engineering capacity preferably related to the food industry
• Technically competent with various software programs, such as Microsoft Word,
  Excel, Project Schedule
• Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative
  environment is essential
• Persuasive, encouraging, and motivating
• Ability to effectively prioritize & execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is critical
• Ability to travel 40% of the time, including some international travel
