Location: St. Louis Park, MN
Compensation: $25.00–$35.00 per hour

Position Overview

A long-established U.S. manufacturer is seeking a 1st Shift Maintenance Technician to support a fast-paced production facility. This role includes a wide variety of hands-on tasks such as machine maintenance, equipment repairs, building maintenance, and periodic inspections across the plant.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys autonomy, mechanical troubleshooting, variety in their daily work, and being part of a supportive, collaborative team.


What You’ll Do

  • Perform emergency and unscheduled repairs on production equipment during operating hours.

  • Complete preventive maintenance tasks on both production and non-production machinery—including lubrication, greasing, filtration, and power transmission components.

  • Diagnose machine and equipment malfunctions; complete repairs and make necessary adjustments to controls and processes.

  • Perform plumbing-related maintenance on facility equipment and building systems.

  • Use a variety of hand tools, power tools, multimeters, and material-handling equipment.

  • Collaborate with Safety and Production leadership to recommend and install safety components on machinery and throughout the facility.

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to support efficient operations and meet production requirements.

  • Maintain compliance with all plant safety policies and keep work areas clean and organized.

  • Install new equipment and relocate existing equipment as needed.

  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.


What We’re Looking For

  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • 2–3 years of general maintenance and repair experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with team members across departments.

  • Ability to perform basic welding and skilled work in plumbing, minor electrical, power transmission, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.

  • Proficiency in repairing pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, hydraulic systems, pneumatic equipment, and other production systems.

  • Willingness to learn facility-specific equipment; on-the-job training is provided.

  • Completion of a vocational or technical program is preferred.
