Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing electrical control systems that ensure the safe, efficient, and effective operation of our products. This role requires a strong commitment to maintaining quality standards and meeting customer delivery timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design innovative electrical control systems for switchgear assemblies, adhering to engineering standards, industry codes, and customer specifications within budgetary limits.
  • Analyze and interpret customer specifications and sales agreements to ensure alignment with project objectives.
  • Develop and manage design layouts and documentation using computerized systems.
  • Program and optimize PLCs for improved system performance.
  • Revise standard systems to enhance quality and productivity while reducing costs.
  • Select and evaluate electrical and electronic components for control systems.
  • Initiate and process purchase orders as needed.
  • Provide expert technical support for customer field operations, helping to resolve complex issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address manufacturing, design, and quality challenges, promoting continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to the development of new product ideas and innovations.
  • Stay informed of industry advancements and integrate new technologies as appropriate.
  • Travel to job sites to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems.
  • Maintain compliance with quality and safety regulations.

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in designing switchgear, switchboards, and panelboards according to functional requirements.
  • Capability to support product assembly and testing processes.
  • Experience in coordinating and managing customer projects and orders.
  • Ability to develop comprehensive product/project quotes.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with internal teams, customers, and suppliers.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Over 5 years of relevant engineering experience.
  • Proficiency across various engineering disciplines.
  • Self-motivated with excellent interpersonal skills and a track record of innovative problem-solving.
  • Capability to independently design and implement solutions within their area of expertise.
