We’re looking for a detail-oriented MTO/Estimator to join our Operations Team in delivering industry-leading structures.
About the Role:
The MTO/Estimator plays a key role in the planning and execution of our building projects. You’ll be responsible for reviewing plans and performing detailed material take-offs to ensure accurate procurement and delivery. You'll work closely with project managers, field supervisors, and our purchasing team to keep projects running smoothly, efficiently, and on-budget.
What You'll Do:
Analyze blueprints and project documents to create accurate material take-offs
Generate and submit purchase orders in coordination with our purchasing department
Maintain up-to-date material schedules and monitor deliveries to job sites
Collaborate with field teams to identify changes or discrepancies in material needs
Assist the estimating team with bid support and cost input
Help improve procurement processes, cost efficiency, and data accuracy in our systems
What You Bring:
2+ years of experience in estimating, material take-offs, or construction procurement
Familiarity with post-frame or steel-frame construction methods
Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints and specifications
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Proficiency in Buildertrend, SmartBuild, or similar construction software
High attention to detail and time management in a fast-paced environment
Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field (preferred but not required)
Skills:
Experience in a design/build firm
Knowledge of material compliance and building codes
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or estimating software tools
