Position Overview

A long-established U.S. manufacturing company is seeking a 2nd Shift Maintenance Technician to support a high-volume production environment. This role involves a wide variety of responsibilities including machinery installation, equipment repairs, preventive maintenance, and building maintenance.

This position is ideal for someone who is mechanically inclined, enjoys working with their hands, and thrives in a role offering autonomy, variety, and cross-functional collaboration.


What You'll Do

  • Perform emergency and unscheduled repairs on production equipment during operating hours.

  • Conduct preventive maintenance tasks such as greasing, lubrication, and inspection of key production and non-production equipment.

  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment malfunctions; make necessary adjustments to maintain smooth operations.

  • Perform plumbing, minor electrical, welding, and general building maintenance tasks.

  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, multimeters, and material-handling equipment.

  • Collaborate with Safety and Production leaders to install and maintain safety components on machinery and throughout the facility.

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to support efficient production flow and resolve maintenance needs.

  • Follow all plant safety policies and maintain a clean, organized work environment.

  • Assist with equipment installations and relocations as needed.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.


What We're Looking For

  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • Completion of a vocational or technical program preferred.

  • 2–3 years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience required.

  • Strong teamwork and communication abilities; regular interaction with multiple departments.

  • Ability to perform basic welding, plumbing, minor electrical work, and power transmission tasks.

  • Proficiency in repairing a wide variety of production machinery, including pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, and other mechanical equipment.
