We are excited to invite applications for the role of a Manufacturing Engineer in Anoka, MN. This is an outstanding opportunity to be at the forefront of engineering innovation, focusing on the development and optimization of stainless steel orbital tube welding and fabrication processes for our liquid cooling solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with operators, team leaders, and value stream managers to enhance production layouts, improve line balancing, and streamline material flow for manual, semi-automated, and fully automated processes.
- Provide hands-on expertise in orbital welding processes, including fixture design and sanitary tube fabrication for liquid cooling applications, ensuring high standards of welding fittings and ports.
- Utilize lean principles to drive continuous improvement, focusing on safety, quality, delivery, and cost efficiency.
- Engage with the New Product Development team to review drawings and ensure new products are manufacturable, efficient, and cost-effective.
- Prepare and submit Capital Equipment requests, working with project teams and suppliers for successful production integration.
- Apply engineering methodologies, including PFMEA, Process Flow Diagrams, Lean, and Six Sigma.
- Maintain a strong understanding of regulatory, safety, and quality standards in manufacturing environments.
- Demonstrate experience with various welding processes such as Orbital Welding, GMAW, GTAW, Laser welding, and Stud welding.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science/Metallurgical Engineering, Welding Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven engineering experience in a manufacturing setting, with hands-on experience in welding, particularly with stainless-steel tubes or manifolds.
- Proficiency with systems such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, MS Office, ERP, and PLM.
- Experience with automated or robotic fabrication equipment is an advantage.
