Your work will be essential in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of systems crucial for advanced engineering validation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the maintenance and operational readiness of R&D lab equipment, focusing on thermal, pressure, mechanical, and electro-mechanical systems.
  • Design and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs to reduce downtime and enhance equipment performance.
  • Oversee calibration processes for lab equipment, ensuring compliance with NIST standards and supporting ISO 17025 and UL certifications.
  • Coordinate and execute maintenance, repairs, upgrades, and installations for both existing and new test infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues related to industrial refrigeration, controls, sensors, electrical and mechanical components.
  • Collaborate with R&D engineers to facilitate test execution, providing input on test cell layout and equipment design.
  • Implement and support LabVIEW-based test software and data acquisition systems for equipment operation and calibration.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related technical field (Mechanical or Electrical preferred).
  • At least 5 years of experience with electromechanical systems in R&D, testing, or industrial settings.
  • Experience with industrial refrigeration or thermal systems, including integrated heating and cooling systems.
  • Proficient in electrical systems, PLC-based controls, sensors, and data logging systems.
  • Prior experience with controls software and LabVIEW environments is advantageous.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with an ability to interpret technical documentation and schematics.
  • Capability to lift up to 50 lbs and remain in physical roles for extended periods.
  • EPA 608 certification required or willingness to obtain within 3 months (company-sponsored).
