Quality Manager duties include, but are not limited to:

·         Act as a link between departments for safety, quality, and policies.

·         Oversee compliance for all Policies and Procedures.

·         Overseeing inspection of raw materials.

·         Maintain compliance with all State, and Local Safety and environmental policies.

·         Coordinate Pest Controls services.

·         Have direct involvement with Production for all quality related issues.

·         Develop and implement training for Production staff on Quality Metrics.

·         Develop and implement training for new Quality Staff on Quality Metrics.

·         Manage and implement roll returns of Out-Of-Spec materials, issue RMAs to customers.

·         Manage and Implement Inhouse rejections.

·         Track internal and external rejections.

·         Communicate with customers regarding returns/specs/annual compliance certificates.

·         Internal Auditing.

·         External Auditing.

·         Monitor SOP’s and work instructions in regard to packing, training, extrusion and safety.

·         Design, Develop, Implement and Improve Food Safety policies, guidelines, and training.

·         Oversee monthly safety training meetings and safety committee.

·         Relay SQF concerns and KPI’s to CEO or Company president.

·         Identify, develop, and implement opportunities for process improvement and cost savings initiatives

·         Collaborate with department managers to optimize processes and promote internal as well as company growth.

·         Uphold Company values and maintains high level of moral and ethical values as well.

·         All other duties as assigned by CEO

Qualifications

  • Effectively communicate both written and verbally with team members, coworkers, customers, and management.
  • Knowledge of SDY, HACCP, FDA and OSHA regulations. (Must be HACCO and SQF certified or willing to get certified)
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Work well with team and be able to complete tasks as assigned.
  • Able to use computer and its programs.
  • Effectively manage the quality department team members.
  • Minimum two years’ experience in a high-volume continuous process manufacturing environment.
  • 3+ years’ experience in quality assurance and safety management.

Physical Requirements

·         Able to sit/stand/walk for >90% of day.
