Are you passionate about ensuring high-quality standards and improving processes? We are seeking a dedicated Quality Tech to join our team in Anoka, where you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the quality and reliability of our data center solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide quality assurance support and lead root cause problem-solving activities to enhance internal and external quality levels, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Lead and collaborate on problem-solving initiatives for product and manufacturing processes, alongside Quality Engineers.
  • Conduct process validations, in-process inspections, and quality monitoring of manufacturing processes and products.
  • Support design, manufacturing, and quality engineering teams in data collection, analysis, product review, and evaluating process capabilities.
  • Develop and adhere to Quality Management Systems (QMS) objectives, while training others to comply with these standards.
  • Perform internal ISO standard audits and provide audit support in designated areas.
  • Prepare formal documented First Article Inspection (FAI) reports for customer or internal use as required.
  • Select and utilize appropriate measuring tools and equipment to verify dimensional and functional requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with various departments including Operations, Supply, Manufacturing Engineering, Design, Quality, Customer Service, Production Planning, and Logistics.
  • Lead or assist in maintaining the calibration status of inspection, test, and measurement equipment.
  • Carry out additional related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience reading schematics, blueprints, and process documents; knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) is a plus.
  • Understanding of Air Conditioning equipment operations is beneficial.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the quality or manufacturing field.
  • Proficiency with measurement tools and techniques.
  • Experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS) is preferred.

Skills

  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Ability to interpret order requirements, quotes, and drawings to draw meaningful conclusions.
  • Proficient in using precision measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and paint mill gauges.
  • Competence in identifying root causes of issues and developing recommendations for resolution.
  • Ability to interpret and apply Quality Systems and ISO procedures and documentation.
  • Comfortable using computer systems and software, including MS Office Applications and ERP Systems (JD Edwards is advantageous).

Physical and Environmental Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Frequent standing and walking required.
  • Operate hand tools as needed.
  • Work primarily indoors with exposure to noise levels of 85 dB and occasional exposure to chemical hazards (solvents).
