Position Overview
This is a high-impact Senior Financial Reporting Analyst opportunity supporting a publicly traded real estate finance platform with an established national presence and consistent growth.
This role goes beyond routine SEC preparation. You will work closely with senior finance leadership and play a meaningful role in external reporting, earnings releases, and technical accounting matters. Over time, this position is expected to expand in scope and responsibility.
This is a 100% remote opportunity based in the Conejo Valley / Thousand Oaks area.

Coordinating SEC reporting timelines

Overseeing preparation of key disclosure areas

Acting as a technical accounting resource internally

Key Responsibilities

Prepare quarterly and annual SEC filings, including Forms 10-Q and 10-K
-
Develop and maintain supporting schedules, reconciliations, and analytical workpapers

Prepare and review audit schedules; serve as a key liaison during audit cycles

Research technical accounting issues and draft clear disclosure language and internal memos

Assist with preparation and validation of earnings releases

Support SOX compliance initiatives and internal control documentation

Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure accurate and timely reporting

Continuously improve reporting processes and documentation

Background Profile

3–5 years of experience in financial reporting and/or public accounting (Big 4 strongly preferred)

Financial services or regulated industry experience preferred

Strong knowledge of SEC reporting requirements and disclosure standards

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
