Maderra Personnel is currently seeking a qualified individual for the position of Instrumentation & Controls Technologist in St. John’s, NL for a 4-6 month contract.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate within a multi-disciplined corporate or engineering team to prepare the technical drawings, 3D models, and documentation packages.
• Prepare precise engineering drawings, electrical schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Utilize 3D modeling software to design structural and distributive electrical / instrumentation systems.
• Liaise directly with senior engineers and offshore instrumentation teams to investigate, advise on, and resolve field engineering or equipment interference problems.

Requirements:

• Diploma in Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering Technology or a related CAD/design discipline.
• 3+ years of related experience.
• High proficiency with industry design software (such as AutoCAD, Intergraph SmartPlant, or Aveva E3D) and an understanding of electrical/instrumentation components.
• Familiarity with Canadian electrical codes and offshore engineering standards.
