Maderra Personnel is seeking a skilled Automation Specialist with extensive experience in Schneider Electric Triconex Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS). This position may be performed in both remote and site-based environments depending on project requirements, including rotational schedules for site assignments.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, configure, and implement automation and safety solutions using Schneider Electric Triconex Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS).
- Configure and maintain Triconex controllers, safety logic, communication networks, and operator interfaces.
- Develop and modify cause & effect logic, shutdown systems, permissives, interlocks, and emergency shutdown (ESD) strategies.
- Perform troubleshooting and resolve issues related to SIS hardware, software, controllers, networks, and field communications.
- Support system upgrades, migrations, lifecycle management, and modernization projects involving Triconex systems.
- Conduct system testing, validation, proof testing, loop checks, and commissioning activities for safety systems.
- Participate in and/or facilitate HAT, FAT, SAT, and commissioning activities.
- Review and interpret engineering documentation including control narratives, shutdown keys, cause & effect matrices, alarm lists, and P&IDs.
- Collaborate with operations, maintenance, engineering, and project teams to ensure safe and reliable plant operations.
- Maintain accurate documentation related to system configurations, backups, modifications, testing records, and operational procedures.
- Ensure compliance with functional safety standards, company procedures, and industry regulations.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working with Schneider Electric Triconex Safety Instrumented Systems in industrial or process control environments.
- Strong hands-on experience with Triconex system configuration, troubleshooting, and commissioning.
- Experience with Tricon programming software, safety logic development, and system diagnostics.
- Strong understanding of Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS), Emergency Shutdown Systems (ESD), and functional safety lifecycle requirements.
- Familiarity with IEC 61508 and IEC 61511 functional safety standards.
- Drawing reviews including Control Narratives, Shutdown Keys, Cause & Effect Diagrams, Alarm Lists, and P&IDs.
- Participate in and/or facilitate HAT, FAT, and SAT activities.
- Knowledge of industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, OPC, Ethernet/IP, and other industrial networking standards.
- Experience with control system networking, virtualization, and cybersecurity best practices is considered an asset.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to work independently in both remote and site-based project environments.
- Willingness and ability to travel and work rotational site schedules as required by project demands.
