Maderra Personnel is currently seeking two (2) qualified individuals for the position of Electrical Engineer to contribute to the successful execution of projects across Newfoundland and Labrador.

Located in St. John's, NL, Maderra Engineering Inc. provides project management, project services, engineering, technical and personnel services to the Energy, Resource, and Commercial sectors. Requirements:

• Electrical Engineering Degree with P.Eng. status and eligible to be a member of PEGNL. 
• Minimum of 7 years experience
• Past Utility experience involving Terminal Station project/equipment up to 230 kV voltage level, including but not limited to terminal station layout, grounding studies, circuit breakers, disconnects, instrument transformer, power transformers, battery bank and chargers, etc.     
• Experience working on Generation projects or equipment such as: Stator or Rotor work, Switchgear, power distribution design, Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS), Diesel Generation, etc. 
• Strong knowledge and foundation of Terminal Station grounding design and software to help ensure safe step and touch voltages. 
• Experience in developing and managing engineering consultant contracts; 
• Experience in developing and managing construction contracts;  
• Experience with review of engineering drawings identifying problems and resolutions; 
• Experience in engineering projects estimating, development and project management techniques;  
• Ability to thrive as a participant and/or leader within a multi-discipline team of both internal and external resources; 
• Proven communication, team and leadership skills; 
• Requirement for travel.
