Maderra Personnel is currently seeking two (2) qualified individuals for the position of Mechanical Engineer to contribute to the successful execution of projects across Newfoundland and Labrador.

Located in St. John's, NL, Maderra Engineering Inc. provides project management, project services, engineering, technical and personnel services to the Energy, Resource, and Commercial sectors. Requirements:

• Graduation from a recognized university with a Bachelor of Engineering Degree (Mechanical) with 5 years’ experience since graduation; 
• Membership in the Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Newfoundland and Labrador (PEGNL) association as a professional engineer; 
• Mechanical analysis, design and tender preparation; 
• Preparation of project proposals (capital & operating); 
• Preparation of technical specifications and engineering reports; 
• Technical operations field support; 
• Equipment trouble shooting/investigation; 
• Preparation of project estimates, schedules and resource requirements; 
• Application of new technologies and products; 
• On-site technical and construction support of both internal and contractor personnel; 
• Contract management. 
• Experience in developing and managing engineering consultant contracts; 
• Experience in developing and managing construction contracts;  
• Experience with review of engineering drawings identifying problems and resolutions;
• Experience in engineering projects estimating, development and project management techniques;  
• Ability to thrive as a participant and/or leader within a multi-discipline team of both internal and external resources; 
• Proven communication, team and leadership skills; 
• Requirement for travel.  
• Experience in the design and/or refurbishment of Hydraulic structures, Hydro generating units, and associated mechanical systems would be an asset;  
• Experience in project management would be an asset;
