Maderra Personnel is currently seeking a qualified individual for the position of an Intermediate Piping Designer in St. John’s, NL for a short term contract.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize plans, details, and sections to accurately convey construction or fabrication requirements
• Prepare and develop 2D and/or 3D designs under the supervision of the Lead Piping Engineer
• Responsible for checking and back checking computer models and piping drawings
• Ensure compliance and approved design standards, to provide quality design
• Prepare bill of materials
• Communicate and interface with other engineering disciplines

Requirements

• Proficient in current release of AutoCAD
• Experience using CADWorx 3D, Intergraph Smartplant 3D or PDMS would be an asset.
• Knowledge of industry/ regulatory codes and standards
• Must be familiar with piping specifications, Isometric and GA Production and general piping design
• Able to conceptualize and draw design details independently
• 5-10 years’ experience in Engineering and Construction industry
• Ability to interpret P&ID’s
• Knowledge of pipe support requirements
• Highly motivated, energetic and team player
