Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Cath Lab Technologist for a long-term assignment within a specialized pediatric cardiac unit in Texas. This role involves supporting procedures that diagnose and treat cardiovascular conditions, including electrophysiology (EP) and interventional radiology (IR) procedures. The technologist will play a critical role in both pre- and post-procedure care, intra-procedural monitoring, and sterile technique compliance.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist in procedures to diagnose and treat conditions of the cardiovascular system

Perform real-time physiological monitoring of heart rate, rhythm, pressures, oxygen saturation, and cardiac output

Identify catheter positioning and anticipate changes during procedures

Communicate patient condition changes promptly to physicians and team members

Operate and maintain procedure-specific equipment and supplies

Maintain strict aseptic technique and infection control standards

Assist with procedure room setup, patient transport, and post-procedure clean-up

Educate patients about post-procedure expectations and care for the catheter insertion site

Provide instructions related to activity restrictions and when to seek intervention
Minimum Requirements:

Valid certification: RT-R (ARRT) or RCIS

Experience in a Cath Lab setting; pediatric experience a plus

Proficiency with hemodynamic monitoring and intra-procedure testing

Strong critical thinking and communication skills

Comfortable working in a dynamic and specialized cardiac unit with pediatric patients
