Key Responsibilities

• Perform computed tomography (CT) procedures in accordance with established protocols.
• Assess patient conditions and tailor imaging techniques as needed.
• Operate imaging equipment and position patients to ensure optimal image quality.
• Educate patients about the procedure to enhance comfort and reduce anxiety.
• Ensure compliance with radiation safety standards for both patients and staff.
• Review images for quality and make necessary adjustments.
• Document procedures accurately and send images to the PACS system for review by medical professionals.
• Maintain equipment functionality and report any technical issues promptly.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
• ARRT Certification in Radiography (or equivalent)
• Active Illinois Emergency Management Department of Nuclear Safety license
• CT Certification required within one year of start date (ARRT Post Primary CT)
• CPR/BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
