The Epic HB Home Health Analyst is responsible for the design, build, implementation, optimization, and ongoing support of Epic Hospital Billing (HB) workflows that support Home Health services. This role serves as a liaison between Revenue Cycle, Home Health operations, clinical teams, and Information Technology to ensure accurate billing, charge capture, reimbursement, and compliance across Home Health services.
The analyst will work closely with operational stakeholders to evaluate workflow requirements, translate business needs into Epic solutions, troubleshoot system issues, and support initiatives that improve financial and operational performance. The ideal candidate will possess strong Epic Resolute HB expertise combined with experience supporting Home Health workflows and revenue cycle processes.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Configure, maintain, and optimize Epic Resolute Hospital Billing (HB) workflows supporting Home Health services.
• Design, build, test, and implement system enhancements, upgrades, and workflow improvements.
• Support charge capture, charge router rules, reimbursement workflows, billing edits, claims processing, workqueues, and payment posting functions.
• Analyze business requirements and translate operational needs into Epic build specifications.
• Develop and maintain build documentation, workflow diagrams, testing scripts, and training materials.
• Partner with Home Health clinicians, operations leaders, and revenue cycle teams to support end-to-end patient billing workflows.
• Ensure accurate integration of clinical documentation, visit charges, authorizations, and billing processes.
• Support workflows related to episodes of care, patient registration, insurance verification, and regulatory reporting.
• Assist with system changes associated with Home Health regulations and payer requirements.

Key Qualifications: 

• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Informatics, Information Systems, Healthcare Administration, Finance, or a related field; equivalent experience considered.
• Minimum 5 years of Epic Resolute Hospital Billing (HB) analyst experience.
• Epic Resolute Hospital Billing (HB) Certification required.
• Strong knowledge of revenue cycle workflows including:

  • Denials Management

  • Billing Rules
  • Reimbursement Processes
• Experience designing, building, testing, and supporting Epic HB functionality.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
