About the Opportunity
Talent Group is partnering with a growing agricultural and food production organization to identify their next Customer Service Specialist. This role plays a critical part in supporting customer orders from contract execution through final shipment while ensuring a seamless experience for both domestic and international customers.
This position offers the opportunity to work cross-functionally with Sales, Production, Quality Assurance, Logistics, and Accounting while serving as a key point of communication throughout the order fulfillment process.
Key Responsibilities
- Support customer orders from contract execution through shipment completion.
- Coordinate domestic and international transportation and logistics activities.
- Issue and maintain sales and purchase contracts and ensure proper documentation is received and filed.
- Obtain and process customer purchase orders and shipping instructions with a high degree of accuracy.
- Coordinate bookings with shipping lines and carriers.
- Prepare export documentation including shipping instructions and required filings.
- Communicate booking details and shipment updates to customers.
- Assist with transportation and carrier-related issues as they arise.
- Monitor contract compliance and shipment schedules to ensure timely delivery.
- Partner closely with Sales, Production, Quality Assurance, Logistics, and Accounting teams.
- Escalate customer concerns when necessary and help drive timely resolutions.
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiencies.
- Maintain compliance with all food safety, quality, and workplace safety standards.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 3–5 years of customer service, logistics, supply chain, export, or administrative experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Strong data entry, reporting, and administrative capabilities.
- Ability to analyze issues, exercise sound judgment, and resolve problems effectively.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments.
- Experience within food processing, agriculture, manufacturing, or supply chain environments is highly preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Primarily office-based environment.
- Ability to sit for extended periods while using a computer.
- Occasional standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 25 pounds may be required.
