Civil / General Construction Project Manager & Estimator

Location: Modesto, CA
Salary: $125,000 – $150,000 DOE
Type: Full Time | Exempt | On site

Overview

We are hiring an experienced Civil / General Construction Project Manager & Estimator to manage heavy civil and general construction projects from bid through completion. This is a senior, hands-on role for a construction professional who values accountability, quality, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects from award through closeout including budget, schedule, and change orders

• Prepare detailed estimates by reviewing plans, specifications, site conditions, and subcontractor pricing

• Track project costs and approve invoices

• Coordinate subcontractors and internal trades

• Collect and review daily reports, photos, and safety documentation

• Ensure compliance with OSHA, MSHA, EPA, and environmental regulations

• Maintain strong client relationships and job site communication

Qualifications

• 20+ years of heavy civil or general construction experience

• Project management experience required; estimating experience preferred

• Strong communication, organization, and follow up skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office

• Team oriented with a commitment to safety and quality
