Position Overview
We are seeking a Drafting Detailer to support fabrication and manufacturing operations in a fast paced, technical environment. This role is responsible for producing accurate, fabrication ready drawings, details, and material takeoffs while supporting standardization, documentation, and overall project efficiency.
This position centralizes drafting and detailing work that is often distributed across Project Managers, allowing project teams to focus on execution while ensuring consistency, accuracy, and scalability across projects.
The Drafting Detailer will work closely with Project Managers, fabrication teams, and shop personnel to support both fabrication and machine shop drawing needs.
Key Responsibilities
Drafting and Detailing
• Create accurate fabrication ready drawings using AutoCAD and or SolidWorks
• Produce detailed shop drawings and supporting documentation
• Prepare material takeoffs as required for fabrication and shop use
• Support drawing revisions and updates throughout the project lifecycle
Project and Shop Support
• Collaborate with Project Managers and shop teams to clarify drawing requirements
• Support fabrication and machine shop drawing needs
• Ensure drawings meet internal standards and are ready for production use
Documentation and Standardization
• Help standardize drawing formats and documentation practices
• Support documentation requirements related to quality and process standards
• Maintain organized drawing files and revision control
Required Skills and Experience
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and or SolidWorks
• Experience producing fabrication ready drawings and details
• Experience preparing material takeoffs
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work effectively in a structured, technical environment
Preferred Candidate Profile
• Two or more years of drafting or detailing experience

Work Schedule and Environment
• On site position
• Monday through Friday, standard 40-hour workweek
• Occasional overtime as project deadlines requires
• Casual, shop appropriate work environment
• Annual boot allowance provided
