Human Resources Specialist (Temporary Assignment)
Location: Central Valley, California
Schedule: Monday through Friday, approximately 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM (some flexibility available)
Employment Type: Temporary Assignment (Leave Coverage through May)
Compensation: $24 to $25 per hour

About the Opportunity
A well-established organization in the Central Valley is seeking a Temporary Human Resources Specialist to support the HR team while a team member is out on leave through May. This role will assist with day to day HR operations including onboarding, recruiting coordination, payroll support, and employee assistance.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with new hire onboarding including employment documentation and orientation
• Support recruiting coordination including resume review, interview scheduling, and background checks
• Assist with payroll coordination and related administrative support
• Serve as a resource for employees with general HR questions
• Support benefits related questions and employee transactions
• Maintain employee files and HR documentation
• Assist with employee changes including status updates and terminations
• Coordinate temporary staffing needs when necessary
• Support employee engagement activities and training coordination
• Help ensure compliance with employment law postings and HR documentation requirements

Qualifications

• 1 to 3 years of human resources experience preferred
• Experience supporting HR operations, onboarding, or recruiting coordination
• Kronos experience strongly preferred
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Ability to handle confidential employee information with discretion
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and standard HR systems

The compensation range for this position is $24 to $25 per hour. Actual compensation may vary based on experience, qualifications, and other job related factors.
