Director of Finance
Location: Central Valley, CA Compensation: $150,000–$165,000 annually DOE Work Environment: Full-Time | Onsite
The Opportunity
We are hiring a Director of Finance to lead finance and accounting operations for a complex, manufacturing-driven organization. This role is highly visible, hands-on, and operationally focused, partnering closely with executive leadership, plant operations, and cross-functional teams to drive profitability, capital strategy, and data-backed decision making.
This is an ideal role for a finance leader who understands cost-intensive manufacturing environments, thrives in analytics, and enjoys translating operational performance into financial insight.
What You Will Own

Lead the annual budgeting process across procurement, production, packaging, distribution, and sales

Deliver monthly financials, variance analysis, and actionable insights to leadership

Own CAPEX evaluation, ROI analysis, and tracking for equipment, automation, and facility investments

Analyze profitability of new product initiatives and innovation projects

Partner with plant and operations leaders to translate yield, waste, and throughput into financial impact

Provide scenario modeling and forecasts for quarterly and annual planning

Prepare and present executive-level reporting on cost drivers, margins, and operational performance

Support board-level discussions with clear financial analysis and recommendations

Oversee close processes and selected accounting and cost accounting functions
What We Are Looking For

7+ years of experience in finance leadership roles, ideally within manufacturing, food, dairy, or CPG environments

Strong background in cost accounting and commodity-driven businesses

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field

MBA or CPA strongly preferred

Advanced Excel skills and experience working within ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics NAV preferred)

Ability to partner effectively with operations, supply chain, and sales leaders

Confident communicator with executive presence and strong analytical mindset
