A Hands-On Finance Leadership Role in a Growing Construction Organization

We are hiring a Director of Finance and Operations to lead the financial backbone of a fast-growing, multistate commercial construction company. This role is ideal for a seasoned finance leader who enjoys being close to the business, partnering with ownership, and driving profitability across active job sites.

This is a hands-on leadership role, not a desk-only position. You will guide strategy, strengthen processes, and support daily operations while building a high-performing accounting team.

What You Will Do

• Lead and mentor the accounting and finance team

• Own financial planning, forecasting, and job profitability

• Oversee job costing, WIP reporting, AIA billing, and retention

• Ensure compliance with prevailing wage, certified payroll, and multistate labor requirements (CA and NV)

• Improve workflows, implement SOPs, and reduce inefficiencies

• Partner with leadership on growth initiatives, systems, and operational decisions

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

• 10+ years of financial leadership experience, preferably in construction or subcontracting

• Strong experience with job costing, WIP, AIA billing, and certified payroll

• Multistate payroll and compliance knowledge (California and Nevada required)

• Confident, trustworthy leader with a hands-on approach

Compensation and Benefits

• $130,000–$165,000 base salary
