Controls Engineer

Controls Engineer (100-120K) 

We are seeking a Controls Engineer to work for a World Class Manufacturer near the Oneida, NY area.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Design and develop machine control systems using AutoCAD, including sizing and selection of VFDs, motors, filters, protection devices, PLC's, and HMI's.
• Program, modify, and troubleshoot Allen-Bradley PLCs and ladder logic systems, along with Siemens controls support.
• Lead installation, integration, and commissioning of new manufacturing equipment across multiple local facilities (approximately 30% travel).
• Provide hands-on electrical and controls troubleshooting support to maintenance teams, including equipment diagnostics, upgrades, wiring, and real-time machine issue resolution.
• Connect to equipment, diagnose control system issues, and modify or develop PLC logic to support production and operational improvements.

Education and Experience:

• AAS or BS in Engineering and 5+ years of experience. Will also consider multiple years of equivalent experience in lieu of formal degree.
• Experience with PLC’s, HMI’s and AutoCAD.
• Familiarity with National Electrical Code and machine safety standard.
• Candidates must be eligible to work in US without restriction indefinitely.
