Location: Chicago, IL (On site or Hybrid, based on what works best for the role and project needs)

Note: Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain a security clearance. Must be a Licensed Architect or Professional Engineer with 10+ years of experience and a bachelor’s degree in architecture or engineering.

Job Description

  • Lead delivery and performance across multiple Architecture and Engineering projects, with accountability for quality, cost, schedule, and client satisfaction
  • Manage, mentor, and develop Project Managers and technical staff across architecture and engineering disciplines
  • Serve as Project Manager on key contracts as needed and ensure teams execute from design concepts through construction documents
  • Partner closely with federal clients and internal leadership to drive outcomes and build long term relationships
  • Coordinate across architects, engineers, and specialty consultants to keep teams aligned and deliver consistently
  • Identify and support new business opportunities in the region in partnership with business development and executive leadership
  • Standardize best practices and lessons learned across studios to improve delivery consistency and team effectiveness
  • Forecast and allocate resources across projects to maximize efficiency and execution quality
  • Coach and grow leaders within the team, building a strong bench for future growth

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture or engineering from an accredited college or university
  • 10+ years of experience as a Project Architect or Project Engineer
  • Licensed Architect or Professional Engineer required
  • U.S. citizen with ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
  • Strong command of building and design codes including IBC and structural design standards
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams delivering complex projects
  • Preferred experience delivering federal Design Build contracts providing Architecture and Engineering services
  • Preferred familiarity with Whole Building Design Guide, Unified Facilities Criteria, and Unified Facilities Guide Specifications
  • Preferred proficiency with Revit plus AutoCAD, BIM, and MicroStation tools
