Senior Systems Programmer – Mainframe Support
Onsite: League City South Houston TX Our client is an industry-leading organization is looking for a Senior Systems Programmer with deep expertise in Mainframe Support, Z/OS Systems Programming, and Enterprise Storage Administration. Lead mainframe storage administration including SMS, HSM, DS8000, TS7700, tape systems, allocation, DR, and backup/recovery Manage tickets, incidents, and escalations in ServiceNow Perform upgrades, installations, and tuning for Z/OS and third-party mainframe tools Troubleshoot performance issues and conduct root cause analysis in large-scale environments Collaborate with cross-functional teams—application programmers, infrastructure engineers, platform architects, and operations Support critical workloads in a high-uptime, enterprise environment Proven experience as a Mainframe Systems Programmer or Senior Z/OS Programmer Strong background in mainframe storage administration, including SMS/HSM Expertise with DS8000, TS7700, and enterprise-class storage systems Hands-on experience with FDR, tape services, backup and recovery solutions Ability to support on-call rotation in a 24/7 production environment Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle complex escalations If you’re searching for a stable, long-term home where your mainframe expertise is recognized and valued, look no further.
