Diesel Engine Field Service Technician

Responsibilities-

•In an issued service vehicle, visit customer sites and perform inspections, scheduled maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of diesel engines found in heavy equipment.

• Read and thoroughly understand schematics and manuals

• Complete paperwork and documentation correctly and in a timely manner.

•Prioritize customer service, delivering prompt attention to customer needs and exhibiting a professional demeanor.

• Maintain a clean, neat service truck and keep the equipment carried on the service truck organized.

• Perform services in a safe manner. 

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required. Vocational diesel mechanics education is preferred.

3+ years of experience working on diesel engines such as DEUTZ, Perkins, Yanmar, Kubota, Hotz.

Knowledge of modern emissions systems is a plus

Ability to diagnose an electrical harness is a plus.

A clean driving record is required.

Must have a complete set of tools for working on heavy equipment.

Ability to use diagnostic equipment is required

Ability to work independently and problem solve with minimal supervision

Time management and organizational skills to prioritize work and complete on schedule while maintaining a professional demeanor. 

Solid computer skills, experience with Sertia a plus
