If you’re the generator technician everyone calls when the problem is complex, the pressure is high, and the power cannot go down — this opportunity was built for you.

We’re seeking a senior-level generator field technician who wants real challenges, top-tier equipment, strong pay, and the respect that comes with mastery of the trade. This is not a PM-only or entry-level service role. You’ll be trusted with mission-critical systems, complex diagnostics, and high-stakes power environments across Southeast Florida.

What You’ll Get

  • $42–$55/hr based on experience and certifications
  • Company-provided service vehicle, tools, and technology
  • Paid OEM training and certification advancement
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) or retirement plan with company match
  • Paid holidays and generous PTO
  • Long-term stability with a respected power systems organization
  • Autonomy and trust reserved for senior technicians — no micromanagement

Why This Role Stands Out

This role is designed for technicians who are trusted with the most complex systems and the most demanding environments. You’ll be the escalation point when uptime matters, systems fail, and expertise makes the difference.

If you want meaningful work, technical respect, and the ability to solve problems others can’t — this is it.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced diagnostics and repairs on diesel, natural gas, and bi-fuel generators
  • Troubleshoot engines, alternators, ATS, switchgear, paralleling systems, and digital controls
  • Conduct load bank testing, start-ups, commissioning, and acceptance testing
  • Lead major repairs, rebuilds, and system upgrades on commercial and industrial units
  • Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control logic
  • Act as the technical escalation point for complex service calls
  • Lead response efforts during critical outages and emergency events
  • Mentor junior technicians and help set field best practices
  • Communicate clearly with customers regarding system condition and recommendations
  • Ensure compliance with NFPA 110, NEC, EPA, OSHA, and OEM standards
  • Complete accurate service reports and documentation

What We’re Looking For

  • 7+ years of generator field service experience
  • Experience with commercial and industrial systems (20kW–3MW+)
  • Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
  • Hands-on experience with ATS, switchgear, paralleling gear, and digital controls
  • Ability to read and interpret complex electrical schematics
  • OEM training or certifications (Cummins, CAT, Kohler, MTU, Generac Industrial, etc.)
  • Familiarity with NFPA 110 and mission-critical environments
  • Electrical license or equivalent technical credentials preferred
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in outdoor/industrial environments
  • Willingness to participate in on-call rotation during outages

Bottom Line

This role is for technicians who want respect, responsibility, and real technical challenges — not repetitive PM work or micromanagement. If you’re the technician others rely on when systems fail, we want to talk to you.
