Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Developer / Team Lead to drive enterprise integration projects and lead a small team of developers. This role is critical to our technology modernization initiative, including a major e-commerce platform migration (Shopify), ERP integrations, and third-party API development. You will work hands-on while providing technical leadership, mentoring junior developers, and collaborating with offshore teams and external partners.

Core Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate development efforts across multiple concurrent integration projects (Shopify, Zendesk, SellerCloud, Amazon Shop Local, payment gateways)

• Design and implement Azure-hosted middleware solutions replacing legacy iPass architecture

• Build and maintain REST APIs connecting ERP systems (BMCIS) with e-commerce platforms

• Manage staging database architectures and stored procedure integration patterns

• Coordinate with offshore development teams (i95Dev) and external implementation partners (eHouse)

• Mentor and provide code review for junior and associate developers

• Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and capacity planning in Jira

• Troubleshoot production issues across POS systems, order management, and shipping integrations

• Contribute to technical documentation, architecture decisions, and change management processes

Technical Requirements

Required Skills:

• 5+ years of professional software development experience

• Strong proficiency in C#, .NET Framework, and .NET Core

• Experience with Microsoft Azure (App Services, Functions, Service Bus, API Management)

• Solid SQL Server skills including stored procedures, performance tuning, and database design

• REST API development and integration experience

• Familiarity with e-commerce platforms (Shopify preferred) and ERP systems

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and deployment automation

• Proven ability to lead technical projects and mentor developers

Preferred / Nice-to-Have:

• Experience with middleware platforms (iPaaS, MuleSoft, or similar)

• Knowledge of payment gateway integrations (Authorize.net, Synchrony, gift card APIs)

• Familiarity with retail POS systems and order management workflows

• Experience with marketplace integrations (Amazon, eBay, Best Buy via SellerCloud or similar)

• Customer service platform integration (Zendesk)

• Shipping/logistics API experience (FedEx, SAIA, local delivery routing)

Current Project Landscape

You will immediately contribute to active integration initiatives including:

• Shopify E-Commerce Migration — Full platform replacement with Azure middleware, multi-DC fulfillment, and six-tier pricing logic

• ERP Integration Layer — Building service-oriented architecture between legacy BMCIS ERP and modern platforms

• Marketplace Aggregation — SellerCloud integration for Amazon, eBay, Best Buy, and emerging marketplaces

• Customer Service Platform — Zendesk CRM integration with order data, tracking, and AI chat routing

• Shipping & Fulfillment — FedEx/SAIA API overhaul, Amazon Shop Local pilot, local delivery optimization

Leadership & Communication

• Proven experience leading or mentoring a team of 3-6 developers

• Ability to coordinate with offshore teams across time zones (India-based resources)

• Strong written and verbal communication for technical documentation and stakeholder updates

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple concurrent priorities

• Self-directed with minimal supervision; can drive projects from requirements to deployment

• Experience working with Jira for sprint planning, backlog management, and capacity tracking
