Position Summary:
The Purchasing Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring efficient procurement and inventory management to support the company’s operations. This position requires a strategic thinker with experience in sourcing, negotiating, and managing vendor relationships for materials, equipment, and supplies related to landscape installation and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:

Procurement Strategy Development:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with company goals, ensuring cost-effective and timely sourcing of materials and equipment.
- Analyze market trends and supplier performance to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.

Vendor Management:
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure high-quality products and services.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to secure favorable agreements for the company.

Inventory Management:
- Oversee inventory levels to ensure availability of materials while minimizing waste and excess.
- Collaborate with project managers to forecast material needs for upcoming projects.

Collaboration Across Teams:
- Work closely with operations, project management, and maintenance teams to understand project timelines and requirements.
- Coordinate deliveries to meet project schedules and avoid delays.

Budget Oversight and Reporting:
- Monitor procurement budgets and provide regular reports on spending, cost savings, and vendor performance.
- Identify areas for financial improvement and implement strategies to optimize costs.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably within the landscape or construction industry.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills with a track record of securing favorable agreements.
- Ability to analyze data, forecast needs, and manage budgets effectively.
- Familiarity with materials, equipment, and suppliers in the landscape and maintenance sectors is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
