Job Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire

Experienced CNC Professionals Only

We are partnering with a highly respected, family-owned precision manufacturing company in Genesee County that is seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Setup & Programmer. This is not an entry-level or trainee opportunity. We are looking for an experienced machinist who can step into the role and make an immediate impact.

If your experience is primarily loading parts, changing tools, or running pre-set programs, this position is likely not the right fit. We need a seasoned professional with extensive experience setting up and programming CNC lathes for custom, tight-tolerance components.

What You'll Do

  • Set up CNC lathes for short-run and custom-machined components
  • Create, edit, and optimize CNC programs
  • Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T requirements
  • Select tooling, establish offsets, and troubleshoot machining issues
  • Perform first-piece inspections and verify dimensional accuracy
  • Work closely with engineering and production teams to improve processes
  • Maintain quality standards while maximizing machine efficiency

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of CNC Lathe setup and programming experience
  • Proven experience machining custom parts and precision components
  • Ability to independently perform complete machine setups from blueprint to finished part
  • Strong knowledge of G-code programming and editing
  • Experience working with tight tolerances and quality-critical components
  • Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring instruments
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Stable work history in a manufacturing environment

Why Join This Company?

  • Direct hire opportunity with long-term stability
  • Family-owned company with an outstanding reputation
  • Supportive leadership team and low employee turnover
  • Clean, organized manufacturing environment
  • Competitive pay based on experience
  • Comprehensive medical benefits
  • Excellent retirement package
  • Paid holidays and paid time off
  • Opportunity to work on challenging, high-precision components rather than repetitive production work

If you are a highly skilled CNC professional who takes pride in your craft and can independently set up and program CNC lathes with minimal supervision, we encourage you to apply.
