Position Overview
Our client, a growing medical manufacturing company in St. Charles, Illinois, is seeking a hands-on Production Supervisor to lead daily production operations and support a high-performing manufacturing team. This contract-to-hire opportunity is ideal for a motivated leader who enjoys balancing production oversight, employee coaching, and operational support in a fast-paced environment.
The Production Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring production goals, quality standards, and customer expectations are met while fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support daily production operations to ensure safety, quality, and productivity goals are achieved.
- Lead, coach, mentor, and develop production employees while promoting teamwork and accountability.
- Address employee relations matters professionally and assist with performance coaching and conflict resolution.
- Troubleshoot production equipment and coordinate with maintenance to minimize downtime.
- Process order entry and provide excellent customer service support.
- Manage shipping and receiving activities to ensure timely movement of materials and finished goods.
- Complete monthly inventory updates and maintain inventory accuracy within the Essity system.
- Perform purchasing activities to maintain production supplies and inventory levels.
- Create and maintain product labels using the Essity system.
- Utilize XGR and Essity software to support production and operational processes.
- Monitor workflow and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and safety procedures.
- Collaborate with operations, customer service, and leadership to support business objectives.
Qualifications
- Previous supervisory or team lead experience in a manufacturing environment required.
- Experience in medical device or medical manufacturing is strongly preferred.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop employees.
- Experience handling employee relations issues in a professional and constructive manner.
- Knowledge of shipping, receiving, purchasing, inventory control, and production operations.
- Experience with Essity and XGR systems is preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot production equipment.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and manufacturing software systems.
- Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
