About the Opportunity
Join a winning team with a family-oriented work environment! We are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator / Project Manager to support both office and field operations for commercial and industrial electrical projects.
The ideal candidate will have a background as a journeyman electrician, electrical foreman, or electrical project manager, with strong technical knowledge of electrical systems and construction practices.
This role is responsible for estimating project costs, coordinating teams and resources, managing budgets and schedules, and overseeing projects from initial planning through completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare estimates and assist with project bids for commercial and industrial electrical projects.
- Manage projects from start to finish, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and closeout.
- Coordinate employees, subcontractors, materials, and other project resources.
- Monitor project costs, timelines, and budgets to ensure projects stay on track.
- Provide technical guidance and troubleshoot electrical installation issues.
- Ensure all work meets applicable electrical codes, safety standards, and quality requirements.
- Communicate with customers, general contractors, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
- Coordinate project meetings, document submittals, and project-related paperwork.
- Maintain organized electronic project files and documentation.
- Collect and maintain subcontractor documentation, including certificates of insurance and W-9 forms.
Qualifications
- At least 4 years experience as a journeyman electrician, electrical foreman, electrical estimator, or electrical project manager.
- Knowledge of commercial and industrial electrical systems and installation practices.
- Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
- Ability to read and understand project plans, specifications, and electrical requirements.
- Experience with project estimating, budgeting, scheduling, and cost control.
- Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and OneNote.
- Familiarity with construction management software; experience with McCormick Estimating software is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and maintain a positive, customer-focused attitude.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to communicate clearly by telephone and in person.
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, with reasonable accommodation where required.
