Location: Clarkston, MI
Pay: $16–$19/hour, depending on experience
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM–2:30 PM
Overtime: Anticipated based on workload

Position Summary

A well-established manufacturer in Clarkston, MI is seeking a Fabrication / Shear Operator to join its manufacturing team. This is a hands-on position primarily focused on operating a shear, with additional responsibilities involving general fabrication and the use of hand and power tools.

The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a manufacturing environment. Experience operating a shear is preferred, but candidates with strong fabrication and hands-on mechanical experience are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a shear to cut and prepare materials according to production specifications
• Perform hands-on fabrication using jigsaws, drills, and other hand and power tools
• Measure and inspect materials for accuracy
• Read and follow measurements, drawings, and production specifications
• Set up and safely operate fabrication equipment
• Inspect finished products to ensure quality and accuracy
• Perform material preparation and handling as needed
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Follow all company safety and quality procedures
• Assist with additional fabrication and production duties as needed

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating a shear preferred
• Manufacturing, fabrication, or mechanical experience preferred
• Comfortable using hand and power tools, including drills and jigsaws
• Ability to accurately read a tape measure and work with measurements
• Strong attention to detail
• Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to work overtime as needed

Compensation & Schedule

• $17–$19 per hour, based on experience
• Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM–2:30 PM
• Overtime anticipated
• Full-time, first-shift opportunity
