Position Summary

Our client, a family-owned precision machining company, is committed to quality, craftsmanship, and continuous improvement. They are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Manager to lead and maintain their Quality Management System. This role will oversee several team members and ensure compliance with internal standards, customer requirements, and regulatory guidelines while driving quality excellence across the organization.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support all aspects of the company’s Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Manage Corrective and Preventative Actions (CAPA) and nonconformance issues through to resolution
  • Oversee final inspection of parts, including approvals, rejections, and documentation
  • Maintain and organize quality records, including certifications, drawings, and quality folders
  • Serve as the Management Representative and participate in Management Review Board activities
  • Develop, communicate, and track quarterly quality objectives
  • Generate and maintain quality documentation including First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs), APQP, and related reports
  • Collaborate with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure clear communication and quality standards
  • Review and assist in developing and maintaining product work instructions
  • Lead, mentor, and oversee quality team members to ensure performance and accountability
  • Support leadership with quality-related initiatives as needed
 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Knowledge of AS9100 standards
  • Experience with First Article Inspections (FAIRs)
  • High level of blueprint reading and interpretation skills
  • Experience using a variety of inspection and measurement equipment
  • Prior management or leadership experience
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Proficiency with basic computer systems
  • Understanding of customer, supplier, and regulatory requirements
  • Strong foundational math skills
  • Our client will train on proprietary systems and methods

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong understanding of industry standards and specifications
