GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES 
Work as part of the IP Networking team in planning, designing, test/certification and implementing MPLS core, peering, High Speed Data, MPLS Business and VoIP networks .

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Work independently and be able to design, document, implement IP networks using OSPF, EIGRP and BGP protocols
  • Be proficient in engineering of all aspects of Layer 2 thru Layer 3 IP services delivery
  • Working experience on advance IPV4 and IPv6 routing and switching
  • Document test plan to certify Cisco IOS(s) for Cisco infrastructure such as ASR 99XX, NCS 55XX, NCS 540 and ASR 9Ks.
  • Perform maintenance (s) and be able to diagnose and trouble shoot  the IP networks
  • Work closely with the Transport, IP engineering, Data Center and Network Operations Center to define, design and implement end-to-end networking solutions
  • Perform other duties as requested by supervisor
  • Maintain positive relationships with vendors and coworkers

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE / SKILLS

Minimum five years of design/implementation work experience  of IP network  

  • In-depth knowledge of IP networks is highly desirable
  • In depth knowledge of industry protocols including IP, MPLS, OSPF, ISIS, and BGP
  • Technical Knowledge of Cable Systems and CMTS (Cable Modem Termination System) is highly desirable
  • Technical knowledge of Application layer 7 technologies
  • Experience creating system support documentation including instructional procedures, provisioning guidelines, and  test plans
  • Experience using network provisioning, inventory and capacity planning system(s) like MetaSolv is highly desirable
  • Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Network Engineering or a related field, CCNA a +
