We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Nursing to lead our Post-Care Cardiac and Acute Stroke units. This full-time, leadership position offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of patient care in a critical area. You will report directly to the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) and play a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care.
As the Director, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating nursing practice across multiple units, providing 24/7 oversight of your assigned areas. Your leadership will be instrumental in maintaining the competency of our clinical staff and optimizing resource management related to patient care in both Acute Stroke and Cardiac Care.
Provide leadership and support to the CNO for all nursing and designated patient care functions/services within the hospital.
Assume 24/7 responsibility for assigned Post-Care Cardiac and Acute Stroke units.
Assist in assessing, planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating nursing practice on a multi-unit level.
Ensure high-quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care for patients in Cardiac and Acute Stroke units.
Accountable for the competency of clinical staff and appropriate resource management related to patient care.
Serve as a role model and advocate for the professional discipline of nursing.
Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing school combined with a Bachelor's Degree in a healthcare-related field, or a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of progressive management experience in a hospital environment as a manager or full-time charge nurse/related position.
Licensure/Certifications:
Active and current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas.
AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
Skills: Highly effective interpersonal and communication skills, proven leadership ability, and strong hospital operational knowledge.
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or a Master's degree in a healthcare-related field.
Salary Range: $110,000 to $140,00 annually
